In questo recentissimo articolo si dimostra l’enorme superiorità del computer quantistico Advantage da 5.000 qubit della D-Wave rispetto si sistemi classici nell’elaborare problemi di ottimizzazione di spin glass tridimensionali, una classe di problemi di ottimizzazione prima impossibili da risolvere.

In the past, the main issues concerning power plants were the stability of large dams and the transportation of coal. The author provides a unique perspective on the evolution of the energy industry, including the promise of atomic power plants, which were starting to be studied at the Polytechnic University.

The book delves into the topic of climate change, which has become one of the most pressing issues of our time. Drawing on his extensive research and participation in COP meetings and conferences, the author offers a comprehensive summary of the current state of knowledge on the topic. He explores the global energy situation in 2019 and the dangerous trap we face in our dependence on fossil fuels.

The author examines the relationship between climate change and energy, and the role of international agreements such as the Paris Agreement and the Glasgow COP26. He also provides insights into how the Earth's atmosphere works, the climate of the Earth since its beginning, and the behavior of the oceans. A historical chronology helps to understand how one must trace back to the beginnings of civilization to reach the most recent achievements.
